In Edinburgh’s West End, Angels Share champions modern Scottish cooking with a cosmopolitan wink. The kitchen riffs on local comfort and continental craft, pairing smoky depth and buttery richness with bright, citrus lift. It is a menu designed for lingering: graze, share, and let conversation set the pace.

Small plates and wee bites set the tone, from seared scallops with chorizo and smoked paprika corn salsa to smashed white beans lifted by charred leeks, Grana Padano and a sage beurre noisette. Sharers invite conviviality: Serrano ham, chorizo, whipped nduja, Strathdon Blue and Isle of Mull alongside sun-dried tomatoes, olives and a crusty French stick. For the indulgent at heart, the dirty fries arrive heaped with braised feather blade, haggis, roast garlic and bone marrow mayonnaise, whisky pepper sauce, crispy shallots and Isle of Mull cheddar.

To finish, a Glavya infused clementine posset brings shortbread crumb and confit orange zest, or there is a tablet and raspberry blondie with Irn Bru gel, tablet ice cream and a flicker of smoked sea salt.
