Chop House

Since 2015, Chop House has been serving premium steaks and artisan cocktails as a part of Edinburgh's dining landscape.

Tucked under the arches by Waverley Station, Chop House is contemporary in look and offers a deft and attentive service. It is intimate for dates and special occasions, or simply an evening to unwind with incredible cuts of meat.

The grill is the heartbeat: cuts cooked over coals arrive with deep char and savoury tenderness. Choose single cut from rump, sirloin to rib-eye, or make a night of it with porterhouse and chateaubriand to share. A classic steak burger brings pickles, shredded lettuce and straw fries, with fried chilli potatoes and mac and cheese for comforting sides.

There is finesse beyond the beef. Fresh oysters set a briny tone before mussels steamed in sauvignon and garlic butter, or seared tuna with a hot citrus slaw. For something different, monkfish satay lands with kimchi salt fries, and younger diners are looked after with steak and fries or mac and cheese.
