In the heart of Dalry, just a five-minute stroll from Haymarket, Pizzeria 1926 has been bringing an authentic taste of Naples to the capital since 2016.

This traditional, laid-back spot channels the spirit of a neighbourhood pizzeria, where the focus is on honest craft and conviviality. Warm service and an easy-going rhythm set the tone, with the chatter of Dalry drifting in from the street and the comfort of a familiar favourite waiting at the table. It is the sort of place that invites lingering, where the simple pleasure of good pizza does the talking.

The kitchen champions simplicity and high-quality ingredients, staying true to Neapolitan tradition. Expect pizzas with the hallmark pillowy, chewy crust that devotees crave, a canvas for clean, balanced flavours that let each element sing. Flavour range from classic fior di latte and mozzarella to mortadella, pistachio and ricotta.

Their pasta equally brings the passion of Italian cooking straight to your table with homemade lasagna, layered with beef ragu, bechamel and buffalo mozzarella. Or, rigatoni pasta tossed with tomato sauce nduja spicy pork sausage and fresh burrata.

As the only member in Scotland of the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana, Pizzeria 1926 wears its credentials lightly yet proudly, promising the kind of authenticity that speaks for itself.

Make a date with Dalry and let Napoli come to you. Book a table, bring an appetite, and prepare to fall crust over heels.
