Referral Programme and Competition Terms And Conditions

Promoter

The promoter of the First Table Referral Programme  ("Referral Programme") and September Referral Giveaway ("Promotion") is First Table Limited a New Zealand company ("First Table", "we", "our", "us"). You can find our contact details below in these Terms and Conditions. 

Application of these Terms

These Referral Programme and Competition Terms and Conditions ("Terms and Conditions") apply to the  Referral Programme and Promotion as run in the participating market in which the referring account holder is resident.

Part 1 Referral Programme

Eligibility for Referral Programme

To participate in the Referral Programme:

• the referring account holder must not be in breach of First Table’s general terms and conditions which apply in the referring account holder’s country of residence (“General Terms”);
• the referring account holder must hold a valid First Table account;
• the referred account holder must be a genuine consumer who is referred by the referring account holder on an arms length basis and is new to First Table and must not already have a First Table account, and must not have had a First Table account at any time in the past.
• the referred account holder must sign up using a valid referral code; and
• the referral must comply with these Terms and Conditions.

First Table reserves the right to verify the eligibility of any participant in the Referral Programme and to refuse or revoke rewards and credits where these conditions have not been met.

Referral Sign-up Credit

Eligible new First Table account holders who open a new First Table account sign up using a valid promo code as part of the Referral Programmme, will receive First Table booking credit in their local currency:

• $5 in NZD and AUD 
• £3 in the United Kingdom; or
• €3 in Ireland.

Booking credit:

• is issued to the account holder's new First Table account;
• is non-transferable;
• cannot be exchanged or redeemed for cash;
• Is subject to the General Terms;
• has an expiry of 30 days after being credited to the new First Table account; and
• will automatically be cancelled if the new First Table account is closed for any reason
• Can only be used to book First Tables on the website or app, and cannot be used to pay for a restaurant meal

Referrer Reward

The referring account holder will receive referral credit once the referred account holder completes their first Eligible Booking.

“Eligible Booking” means the referred account holder’s first completed First Table booking made after the new First Table account creation. Cancelled bookings, refunded bookings, no-shows, fraudulent bookings and bookings that First Table reasonably determines were made solely to obtain a reward are not Eligible Bookings. If any booking credit has been issued for a booking that is then cancelled, refunded or the referred account holder does not show, then that credit will be mremoved form the referring accounts holders account. 

If any referral credit has been issued for a booking that is then cancelled, refunded, or the referred account holder does not show, then that credit will be removed from the referring account holder’s account.

The amount of referral credit awarded will be determined by the referring account holder’s Frequent Foodies Tier  at the time the referred account holder completes their Eligible Booking, as set out in the Frequent Foodies reward table available here

Booking credit:

• is issued to the account holder's First Table account;
• is non-transferable;
• cannot be exchanged or redeemed for cash;
• may be subject to other First Table platform terms
• has an expiry of 30 days after being credited to the referring account holder's account 
• Can only be used to book First Tables on the website or app, and cannot be used to pay for a restaurant meal.

For the avoidance of doubt, if the referred account holder does not complete an Eligible Booking after their new First Table account creation, no referral reward will be issued.

Part 2 - September Referral Giveaway

The September Referral Giveaway is free to enter and no purchase is necessary to enter or to win a prize.

Each Eligible Referral completed during the Promotion Period will earn the referring account holder one (1) entry into the September Referral Giveaway. There is no limit to the number of entries that may be earned through Eligible Referrals.

Promotion Period

The September Referral Giveaway runs from 12:00am on 1 September 2026 until 11:59pm on 30 September 2026, based on the time zone of the Participating Market "Promotion Period".

Only Eligible Referrals completed during this period will be entered into the giveaway.

Giveaway Eligibility

"Eligible Referral” means a referral where a new person, who has never previously held a First Table account, creates a valid First Table account during the Promotion Period using the referring account holder’s unique promo code. The referred account holder does not need to complete an Eligible Booking in order for the referring account holder to be entered into the giveaway.

To be eligible for the giveaway, entrants must:

• be aged 18 years or over;
• successfully refer a person who creates a new First Table account using the entrant's unique promo code during the Promotion Period;
• ensure the referred person has never previously held a First Table account;
• reside in a country where First Table operates;
• comply with, and not be in breach of these Terms and Conditions and the General Terms, and;
• not be an employee, contractor or immediate family member of First Table.

Each Eligible Referral completed during the Promotion Period will earn the referring account holder one (1) entry into the September Referral Giveaway. There is no limit to the number of entries that may be earned by the referring account holder through Eligible Referrals.

Prize

The participating markets are New Zealand, Australia, the United Kingdom,the "Participating Markets"). One (1) prize will be awarded in each Participating Market.

Each winner will receive a prize of First Table booking credit in the currency of the Participating Market. 

• Australia and New Zealand $100 booking credit;
• United Kingdom: £50 booking credit;

The prize:

• will be issued as First Table booking credit in the winner's local currency;
• is non-transferable;
• is not exchangeable; 
• is subject to these Terms and Conditions and the General Terms;
• cannot be redeemed for cash, and
• will expire after 365 days after being credited to the winner's First Table account.
• Can only be used to book First Tables on the website or app, and cannot be used to pay for a restaurant meal.

The odds of winning a prize depend on the number of eligible entries received.

Prize Draw and Winner Notification

One (1) winner for each Participating Market will be selected at random using a verifiable random selection process conducted by First Table, from all eligible entries received in each Participating Market within 96 hours of the Promotion closing, in the relevant Participating Market.

Winners will be notified via the email address associated with their First Table account, with instructions on how to claim their prize.

If a winner:

• cannot be contacted;
• is found to be ineligible;
• provides incorrect or incomplete contact details; or
• does not claim the prize within seven (7) days of notification,

First Table reserves the right to redraw the prize and award the prize to another eligible entrant.

Claiming the Prize

The applicable booking credit will be added to their First Table account within seven (7) business days, from the date the prize is claimed.

Any taxes, duties, levies or other costs associated with accepting or using the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. First Table will not gross up the prize or reimburse the winner for any such taxes or costs, and is not responsible for any additional costs the winner incurs in redeeming the prize

Fraud and Misuse

First Table reserves the right to withhold, cancel, reject, reverse or reclaim referral rewards, giveaway entries and/or prizes where it reasonably believes there has been:

• fraudulent activity;
• duplicate or fake account creation;
• self-referrals;
• abuse of the Referral Programme, iincluding discloser of any unique promo code to any third party;
• attempts to manipulate the Promotion; or
• any breach of these Terms and Conditions, or the General Terms.

First Table's decisions will be made reasonably and in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. First Table’s decisions shall be final.

Part 3 - General Terms 

The following terms apply in respect of the Referral Programme and the Promotion

Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand, Australia, Ireland or England, Scotland and Wales, depending on the "Participating market" of the referring account holder, in which the referral takes place, and the courts of that country have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute or any other matter arising in connection with these Terms and Conditions. Nothing in this section prevents a consumer from bringing a claim in their country of habitual residence.

Privacy

Personal information collected and otherwise processed as part of the Referral Programme and promotion will be collected, used, disclosed, and otherwise processed in accordance with First Table's Privacy Policy, available here.

The surname and county (or equivalent region) of winners will be available to third parties with a lawful reason to receive such information on request for three months after the draw, unless the winner objects or if prohibited by law. Winners may object or request that their information be limited by contacting First Table.

General

By participating in the Referral Programme and/or the Promotion, participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, together with First Table's General Terms and acknowledge that their personal information will be processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

First Table reserves the right to amend, suspend or cancel the Referral Programme, and/or the Promotion where reasonably necessary for commercial, technical, legal or operations reasons or where circumstances beyond its reasonable control  otherwise prevent the  Referral Programme and/or the Promotion from operating as anticipated.

The Referral Programme and the Promotion are solely administered by First Table; they are in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Facebook, Instagram or any other social media platform.

Limitation of Liability

Except as set forth below, to the maximum extent permitted by law, First Table hereby excludes any and all liability (whether in contract, tort (including negligence or otherwise) arising from or in connection with the Referral Programme and the Promotion, (including any entry or any prize), and is not liable for any indirect, special, incidental or consequential loss or damage.

To the extent that such exclusion and limitation of liability is not permitted by applicable law, First Table's cumulative liability to you for any and all losses and damages arising in connection with the Referral Programme and the Promotion shall in no event exceed AUD$50 / NZD$50 / £30 / €30.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits or excludes any of your rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, including under any applicable consumer protection law.
