Nazar

Nazar Turkish Kitchen and Bar brings a warm, welcoming glow to Cambridge.

With a lovely vibe and eclectic decor, it's the sort of place where conversation hums, laughter echoes, and every plate nods to culture and tradition. Friendly, attentive service keeps the pace unhurried yet polished, shaping both special occasions and easy midweek suppers.

Meals often begin with meze, a swirl of hummus bright with lemon and tahini, or smoky baba ganoush lifted by garlic and charred aubergine. From the charcoal grill, generous platters follow - the mixed grill unites chicken shish, lamb shish and Adana kebab, while lamb chops arrive deeply seasoned and tender.

Meanwhile, signature comforts include Iskender kebab, its flatbread, yoghurt and sauce pooling into something soul-soothing, and icli kofte with its crisp bulgur shell and savoury heart.

For wider variety, spaghetti Bolognese and seafood linguine rub shoulders with Caesar and feta salads, while falafel and vegetarian moussaka keep plant-forward palates content. Warm Turkish bread and a bowl of rice make satisfying companions.

Settle in, stay a while, and let Cambridge slip away - book soon and bring an appetite - the grill is waiting!
