dinner

Tucked just off Gloucester Road in Bishopston, The Gloucester Old Spot is a neighbourhood pub with a warm disposition and a garden to match.

Its covered, heated terrace makes al fresco living a year-round pleasure, while the family-friendly lawn and laid-back hum of locals set an easygoing tone. It is the sort of place where time stretches and conversation flows.

In the kitchen, flavour, freshness and generosity lead the way. Everything is cooked from scratch with seasonal, locally sourced ingredients, from comforting classics and crowd-pleasing sharers to stone-baked pizzas. Expect the simple pleasures done well: mini chorizo bites to start, or warm sourdough with olives. Pizzas range from the classic with basil pesto to the fiery diavola, while burgers arrive stacked and sauced, with buttermilk chicken proving hard to resist.

Leave room for pudding: sticky toffee pudding with butterscotch and vanilla ice cream, or a rich chocolate brownie crowned with honeycomb ice cream bring the meal to a sweet close.

Book a table, gather your favourites, and claim your spot at The Gloucester Old Spot - hospitality with heart, right on cue!
