dinner

Møss is a popular, family-run neighbourhood spot on The Broadway in Haywards Heath, where the welcome's warm and the pace inviting.

Known locally for its dog-friendly charm and easygoing manner, it's the kind of place that suits a lazy evening or a relaxed catch-up with good company. The address may read 38-40, but the feeling's simply: come in, settle, and stay a while.

In the kitchen, familiar comfort meet a touch of polish. Crispy pork bites with a lick of sweet chilli and calamari that lands golden beside garlic aioli and fresh lemon welcome you to the table.

Heartier cravings are well met too, from spaghetti carbonara threaded with pancetta, Parmesan and egg yolk to a classic beef burger, all about honest flavour and fries done right.

There's a flourish when it counts: seared scallops arrive with pumpkin purée and a glint of caviar, while fillet steak on the stone brings table-side theatre, its hot slab carving a delicious path from first sizzle to last bite, with fries and mixed salad in easy attendance.

Pull up a chair, bring a pal, and make a moment of it on The Broadway. Book in, tuck in, and let Møss do the rest!
