Housed in the entertainment extravaganza that is About Dining, Divide joins the clan of exciting experiences at the Centenary Square venue. A fine dining experience that showcases quality local ingredients, Divide unifies foodies far and wide.
Positioned in between its sister restaurants Craft and 8, Divide is About Dining's most lavish offering. From its island bar that's fringed with glistening glassware to its open-plan dining room that's punctuated with shrouded tables, Divide is made for exploring. For intimate suppers, their enclosed tables enjoy more privacy with sheer curtains that separate them from the main dining area. Effortlessly romantic, this setting always sees sparks flying.
The menu is headed by Head Chef Jake Smith, who has curated a selection of dishes that pivot on produce from Shropshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire and all over the West Midlands. And never has this produce seen more screen time than during Divide's spectacular 7 Course Tasting Menu that takes diners on a tour around some of Britain's most plentiful countryside.
It features an abundance of Springtime flavours, including sea trout with heaps of dill, Shropshire lamb with wild carrot, daily fish with seasonal vegetables and smoked, buttery potatoes. And that only gets you to the fourth course. The last two courses hit the sweet spot with pralines, raspberries and white chocolate whilst the very last course is, in good British spirit, a fantastical cheese board with local bread and craft elderflower fruit wine. A culinary odyssey that stays true to About Dining's sustainable and local ethos, Divide is the best of the Midlands in more ways than one.
