Sitting pretty in Brindleyplace, Birmingham, Siamais pairs modern Thai cooking with a polished cocktail bar spirit. It is the kind of place that suits an impromptu lunch as readily as a long, lingering supper, with a warm welcome and an easy sense of occasion.

The kitchen leans into bold, fragrant flavours. Bowls of tom yum arrive alive with kaffir lime, lemongrass and galangal, while tom kha soothes with creamy coconut comfort. Crisp Thai fish cakes and golden fried calamari bring the crunch, while the gentle heat of green curry, rich with coconut milk, aubergines and lime leaves, pairs perfectly with steamed rice.

For a timeless favourite, pad thai noodles twist together egg, bean sprouts and bean curd with your choice of chicken, pork or beef. Thai crab cakes with plum sauce deliver a sweet-savoury punch, and to finish, the sticky rice with fresh mango and mango sorbet is a must - refreshing, decadent, and drenched in coconut richness.

Ready to escape to Thailand without leaving the city? Book a table, follow the aromatics, and let Siamais make it a Thai to remember.
