Cuisine: A La Carte, Asian, Indian
Price Point: Mains from £10-£20

With endless awards and not to mention spellbinding food to their name, Shampan Westerham is Indian food with elegant sophistication.

Contemporary and stylish, the long dining hall is luxurious without being brash. Taking a leaf out of the minimalist book, its neutral colour scheme is understated and soothing, which can't be said for some of their spicier dishes!

With so many incredible starters on offer, you really don't know where to... well... start! Lamb chops, lamb samosas, pickled paneer and the classic onion bhaji are just a few stars on the list. But don't go overboard, you still have mains to go.

Tradition meets innovation on the mains. If you're playing it safe, go for the butter chicken, Kerala spiced prawns or Tandoori chicken. If you want to broaden your foodie horizons, there's a tilapia fish masala, barbecued achari and seared haddock with ginger. If you're overwhelmed by the agonising choice you have to make, try a bit of everything with the Tandoori mixed grill.

Had an amazing tine at Shampan at the Spinning Wheel. We enjoyed cocktails in their lovely relacing lounge first. All were really nice - they don't scrimp on the alcohol they out in and the juices tasted fresh. Service the whole time was perfect, we never felt rushed to move onto dinner.

We went through for dinner at 7pm and enjoued some poppadoms and chutneys to start (so good we ordered seconds!). I had a Chicken Korma and my partner had a Lamb Masala both accompanid by rice and naans. Couldn't fault the food even if I tried, it was incredible. And again service through dinner was fabulous.
