My friend chose this restaurant as a treat for her birthday and we were both thoroughly impressed. We ordered the 9 course vegetarian degustation which importantly included 2 desserts because we both have a sweet tooth! We loved the variety of flavours offered by the menu and thought the portion sizes were more than enough. A great pan-asian dining choice in a central location with good ambience. Look forward to dining here again.

We were so lucky to get a last minute Friday night first table booking at MBER. What they had on offer on the menu and in terms of service really set us up for a fantastic night and weekend. We started off with two cocktails. Our waiter was wonderful enough to swap out the banana liquer (owing to my inexplicable distaste for banana) in my coconut and jackfruit rum cocktail with an apricot one. I have to admit it was hard not to down my partners cocktail with lychee and edible flowers in it as well because they were both so delicious. The ambience was the perfect amalgamation of industrial muted light , candles, booth seating and a stunning open bar that kept dishing out live smoke in bell jars for different cocktails. The service was faultless and we were told that it made sense to either order 3 plates per head (Filipino tapas style apparently ) or order off a set menu. We chose the lunch set menu that was on offer instead of the usual dinner menu that they didn’t have available that evening. We started off with crispy sesame squid. I need to find adequate words to describe this sublime dish- not even the slightest hint of grease and packed to the brim with flavor and gentle spice. A plate of two beef gyozos was up next and it felt like a cross between a soup dumpling and a succulent momo- delectable. Next was tuna sashimi with black truffle and saffron strands- by this point we knew the food was only increasing in how incredible the flavor profiles were. Fresh tuna slivers with just a hint of black truffle with interspersed golden saffron strands feels like a sentence but felt like a taste explosion. Highly recommend this dish. Next up was beef medallions on a bed of lemongrass and Greens with a delectable sauce. We enjoyed every last bite and were sad to count down to the last dish of the evening- the pork katsu kare. The only regret was we were so full up we couldn’t order or eat any more. I hope to be able to go back to MBER on a day they have dessert on offer (dessert refrigerator wasn’t working on the day we went so they weren’t serving them). Cheers MBER. You really made it an evening to remember. I highly recommend going there and trying anything off the menu- it’s very hard to go wrong here.

Best service I’ve had possibly ever - and, yes, I’ve dined at more than just a few restaurants ;)

From start to finish, I was impressed with how genuinely warm, welcoming and attentive every single member of staff was at Mber, not to mention how great tasting and looking the nine dishes off the taster menu were!
I’m “one of those” customers with a few dietary requirements and they really catered for that too.
Basically, this is a hidden gem in the heart of the City and my only regret is that I didn’t hear about it sooner.

A must-eat!

Mber was amazing! The food was incredible and served beautifully. All the waiters and waitresses were really attentive and went out of their way to help me celebrate my friend's engagement. The ambiance was lovely. I would really recommend it and will be coming back!

We had a lovely evening, all the food we tried was a delicious combination of flavors and with just the right amount of spice, and all beautifully presented. The atmosphere was cosy but lively and the service was right on point.

The restaurant is dark and mysterious, and the service was super friendly. Cocktails were absolutely delicious. We opted for the 9-course tasting menu - the sashimi truffle was really tasty, but other than that nothing blew us away. Decent food and good location for a date night.

The food was great and vibe of the restaurant was lovely! The service of the food from the kitchen was great and our waiter was lovely and took the time to ensure we knew what we were eating! Our initial waitress was a little frostier and was aggressively shoving chairs in throughout the night but this didn’t prevent us from having a lovely meal and enjoy some delicious cocktails. The violet cocktail is incredible!

We had a lovely meal and an attentive waiter. The portions were a little small so I would recommend getting one or two dishes more than is recommended by your waiter. The food is incredible and there's a lovely atmosphere in the restaurant. Would visit again!

Amazing food and service. They even did a birthday dessert on the house for my boyfriend at the end of the meal which was a lovely touch! (The dessert was amazing!!!)
Will definitely be back!

Good service. Restaurant does look somewhat like a bar, but is quiet and intimate. Food is pricey, but exceptional. The Waygu beef burger is a must try. Some portion sizes such as the katsu curry are very large. Dessert was incredible and flowering tea highly recommended. Will certainly return.

The staff where lovely especially the front of house lady (spanish), it was nice having lunch un the city yet feeling totally secluded from the world due to the beautiful ambience of the restaurant. The katsu curry was amazing and something I will definitely be going back for, however the wagyu burger was rather disappointing. But all in all the food was great and presented beautifully and we had an excellent and relaxing lunch.

Lovely bar, waitresses were lovely food was good but not amazing.

We had the green thai curry (lovely, best dish by far), sesame shrimp (below average), the cod, prawn cookies, pork belly and scallops (came with one small tough scallop), the avocado burgers, peanut butter parfait (delightful!) and the white chocolate gyozas for desserts (couldn't taste the chocolate). I wasn't aware of the 20% service charge which added £30 so was more expensive then expected.
