Welcome to Shaka Zulu!
Opened in 2010 with a special royal blessing from the Zulu King, this spectacular restaurant & bar is one of London’s hottest dining destinations.
Set over a staggering 27,000 sq ft, Shaka Zulu offers two levels of exotic decor and carved wooden murals. The lower floor features a fiery open kitchen, flanked by giant warrior statues, whilst the mezzanine level has a champagne and cocktail lounge.
Executive Head Chef Stephen Boucher, from South Africa, has created a menu of showstopping dishes. Demonstrating the flair and originality of his homeland, his kitchen specialises in traditional braai (BBQ) cooking.
Start the evening with a glass of South African wine and a sharing plate of Biltong. For your main, choose from sizzling steaks, fresh seafood and sushi, or if you’re feeling adventurous, tuck into their exotic game, like the kudu, ostrich, springbok and zebra from Namibia.
For a sensational dining experience in the heart of Camden, look no further than Shaka Zulu .....

Venue is awesome and unique but seems gimmicky...the food is nothing to write home about and highly overpriced (£18 for 2 halloumi skewers..) for what it is. Mohammed our server was lovely but I feel like we’ve done it once, we’ve done it for good..

Absolutely loved dining at Shaka Zulu. It's been on my list of restaurants to visit for a long time as I had great reviews from friends. The staff were really friendly and attentive and the food arrived quickly. Overall a great experience - will definitely be going back!

Very average meal. Having been here 4 times before a couple of years ago I thought I would come back as I enjoyed it. However, this time it was very average, expensive and we got charged 22% service charge which is ridiculous don’t bother!

Awesome African/Afro centric decor, felt really special and pampered! Service was attentive, confident and friendly but not in your face annoying. Food was fabulous and wonderfully presented. Will definitely be referring to friends and family!

Overall we had a lovely evening. We tried the boboti for the main which was nice and the Melktart for pudding.

Loved this place, so much to look at. The food came out super quick, we all loved the beef samosas and the crocodile cigars.

This was my first visit after a fair few years. It was good to go back; service and food were both fine!

Another great discovery via First Table. Somewhat hidden in the Camden markets, head down the escalator to a massive African themed space. Shaku Zula has an impressive menu with some really unique dishes. The highlights were the tuna ceviche and wild boar. Yum! Would be a great place to go back to on a weekend for a drink.

If you like touristy things then this is perfect. The decor is definitely something and the staff is really super nice. The only thing is that the food is only ok, nothing special.

The decor is outstanding, the cocktails cold and tasty, but the food was quite frankly scrumptious. I was worried There wouldn’t be options other than meat but there was plenty to choose from.
