A buzzing slice of Italy in the middle of Camden, the original site of this independent restaurant group is as homely, welcoming and authentic as any family-owned trattoria in Italy. Co-founder Giuseppe Miggiano moved to London in 2009 and he aims to capture the essence of his childhood home in southern Italy and the fresh, hearty flavours of his mother’s cooking.

Take one bite of the hand turned pasta cooked to a traditional carbonara recipe and you’ll agree that he has succeeded. Crispy fried polenta and gorgonzola cream prove perfect bedfellows, while the buffalo burrata and fresh tomato salad is a delicious reminder that the best thing to do with top quality ingredients is nothing more than arrange them artfully on a plate.

As night falls and the vintage record player clicks on, their expert mixologists begin to flex their famous Aperol Spritz skills - the secret ingredient is a dash of house bitters. The wine list nods to most of Italy’s 20 regions, from the herbaceous Telero Rosso Cantele, produced in Puglia, to the robust Chianti Classico from Tuscany.

This little portal to Italy is divine! I like cozy spaces and this one uses their footprint to accommodate us with efficiency and style. A great place to have an intimate meal with unfussy service where you can be present with your food and your companion easily.
Joe and I were seated at our table for 2 by a smiling Italian with a very cool sculpted mustache. Looking around I’m happy to notice the interesting art scattered on shelves and happy diners chatting away with each other!
Looking over the menu, they have various small plates and encourage us to pick a few to share. Octopus stew, polenta with goat’s cheese, arancinis with truffles and more, it was hard to choose! We decided to combat our collective jet lag with bellies full of love and went with the meatballs and then two main pasta dishes.
Ok so I’m Italian and if you want to know if you like a place, you try their meatballs and tomato sauce. After tasting the perfectly herbed, lovingly made lamb meatballs I can 100% say that we LOVED this place from bite one. Everyone who saw the videos on my Instagram stories sent messages of jealousy and prompted hunger pains!
Before this, mustache sets two glasses and a bottle of Italian merlot on the table, “it’s the best to drink with eating” he says, so we’re in. Also there’s a bottle of water to share with adorable glasses that feel like you’re drinking out of flowers.
They bring us the mains Italian style, one at a time. I love this.
First is the broccoli and chili flake pasta that mustache douses in Parmesan cheese and extra chili to our liking. The flakes were mild in heat so plenty was just fine for our taste buds. Small chunks of broccoli punctuated the puréed sauce and made our mouths very happy. We joked about how there’s broccoli in this dish so it’s good for the body. It was dense and light simultaneously and just the right amount of salt.
Next course for us is the sausage tortellini with (I think) truffle brown butter. Again, gratefully, we can taste the love that’s gone into preparing these nuggets of meat filled pasta.
We linger and take bite after bite, sipping on our wine and being with each other. They check on us enough and our thoughts of bed prompt us to ask for the check.
I picked this place because I can walk there and hoped to find a cozy place for warm Italian love I know from my home and travels. This is it!! And don’t come cuz I will cry if they run out of sauce ok?

Our dinner at Casa Tua was so lovely. The menu looked so good I had 2 starters and a main! Heavily recommend the Bruschetta and the Casa Tua carbonara. Will definitely go again

A lovely little independent and quaint restaurant. The staff were genuinely really lovely and served us with a smile! The food was excellent: the two of us shared 3 small dishes and a pasta dish before finishing off with 2 desserts to share. We would definitely recommend the Nutella gnocchi! Overall we had an amazing evening at Casa Tua and would recommend it to everyone

We had a lovely time at Casa Tua. The guy who waited on us was really nice and the atmosphere in the restaurant was cosy with jazz music playing. We had the ragu and carbonara. I would go again for the ragu. All in all a nice dinner with excellent service.

Our meal at Casa Tua was very nice. We could tell the restaurant used high quality ingredients such as actual olive oil and pesto. We felt the service was good. We enjoyed our meal and evening there.
