I've wanted to try Etc for a while now and I wasn't disappointed!

We came in the restaurant and was greeted by friendly staff who showed us to our table which we got to pick. For starters we had the legless which were crispy frog legs and a foam. This was super delicious and the sweet veggies and mango really complimented the dish. It was beautifully presented. My partner ordered a cocktail, I believe the one with the matrix description, a smoking cocktail. The waiter brought it over and poured it in the tube for us. We would have preferred if we could have done it ourselves but it was fine. The plastic glass looked grubby at the bottom but it was ok. It was cool to watch the dry ice and the smoke, an interesting drink that tasted nice. We then had our mains which were delicious although there was not enough gravy for the large amount of food. The portion size was fantastic, could just about finish it. We both had the pork crackling roast dinner. The crackling was amazing and so was the stuffing but unfortunately these were the two smallest items on the plate. Nevertheless the main was beautiful and tasty and I would definitely order it again. We then had dessert called Fun at the Fair. Again this was beautifully presented and was really fun to eat! My only bad comment about the dessert is that the popcorn had an odd after taste, so we didn't finish it. However i loved how it looked so much I posted it on my food blog as soon as i got home. All in all, its a lovely venue with great food and I wasn't disappointed. This is the second time I have been, the first time was a year or two back and it the theatrics side wasn't that good.. but this time I was truly impressed and would come back here again in future.

We had a wonderful time at Etc, as soon as we arrived it was beautiful, decorated with gorgeousness, ready for the coming festive season, beautiful decor inside and out. Blankets and seating along with large outdoor fire heaters for those who wanted a drink or smoke outside.
Inside was adorned with beautiful large gold mirrors and black painted walls it all helped set the right balance of lighting for a perfect dining experience, it was stunning.

The staff were so friendly and very helpful. Things on the menu were explained in detail to us, especially, how to eat them as some I had not tried before.
Drinks and food were of high quality and freshly made each day on site. Even there ice cream is handmade! Stunningly presented food.

This place is a definite must to try, I would say no matter who you are or what you wear you feel comfortable and right at home. This place has certainly made effort in every area. Thank you Etc x

What an amazing place! Never been before but completely worth the money! The duck was the best meal I’ve ever had, partner had the sirloin steak which he couldn’t fault. Mocktails were lovely, and dessert taste and presentation was unbelievable. Will most definitely be returning for a future occasion. Only down side was the homemade bread and butter we had for starter, wasn’t fond of the bread but it’s an aquired taste, and I didn’t like any of the other starters. But apart from that, thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Ect!

Went out for dinner at ETC Pernarth to celebrate our anniversary, they did not disappoint!
The decor is very fancy and even though the restaurant is small it had a lovely cosy atmosphere.
We were greeted warmly and with a smile and were taken to our table. The service overall was fantastic! Every server to talk to us was helpful, friendly and happy.
The food was wonderful as well, we had come just as they were starting their new menu - I had looked online before hand at their old menu and thought it all looked lovely, but I must say I thought the new menu was even better!
The food was beautifully presented and we enjoyed every bit of it.
We will definitely be back!

Brilliant service from start to finish! Waitress knew all about First Table! So it took away any awkward feeling straight away. Food was amazing but the best bit was the magical pudding! I loved it and my daughter loved it. I've recommended First Table to everyone!

We haven't been to this venue for quite a while, and decided to go when we saw it on First Table. The venue is quirky, yet well presented. The staff were great, really friendly and professional. Our food was absolutely gorgeous. The fillet steak was cooked perfectly. We were too full to sample desserts, although they did all sound delicious.

Overall a good experience, food was really tasty we both had 3 courses and an alcoholic drink and it only came to around £48. Service charge is added on automatically, however we didn't mind as the service was great. One thing though the roast potatoes were a bit dry, the meat made up for this as it was cooked to perfection.

Very opulent, some would say bling surroundings are matched by the theatrical and playful approach to the food. Presentation is very colourful and imaginative- but importantly the food is good. The cocktails are bathed in dry ice - and even the steaks are presented in a glass dome full of swirling whiskey smoke. Service is good - wine well -priced - and the bill incredibly good value if you go with First Table. An enjoyable evening.

Starters were average, fancy description but not a great deal of taste to them. Mains, beef dinner, was nice and plentiful, good selection of vegetables. Service was attentive, but would have expected nothing less given how quiet it was when we dined.

The restaurant offered a lovely atmosphere with what I personally describe as a great selection of music. The service was splendid, we were immediately seated and offered drinks and assistance from staff was always at the ready.

Hands down the best Rib-eye steak I have ever had, serviced with a delicious twice cooked hand cut chips on the side and succulent juicy vine tomatoes. For any of those looking to purchase a steak I highly recommend requesting the smoked option.

My partner had the duck dish served with a deliciously smoked cinnamon pear. Naturally I insisted I had a taste of her dish to which I was pleasantly surprised, the duck was nice a juicy as it fell away from the bone, perfectly cooked.

The restaurant offers a lovely vibe for all those looking to dine there with a lovely selection of wines and cocktails. 10/10 would definitely recommend to anyone and everyone.

I really enjoyed my meal at Etc Penarth. Staff were really attentive, service was fast and food was tasty and presented well. We went for the steak and lamb which were both nice and tender and the sweet potato side complemented by crispy chorizo on top was an excellent addition to our meal. I really recommend the pork starter which came in a smoked glass and added to the theatre of the dish.
Overall a brilliant experience and we will return.

We had an excellent Sunday roast and very nice desserts. All parts of the roast were good, in particular the potatoes which were crispy outside, fluffy inside with a good meaty flavour. The 'Willy Wonka' dessert was dramatic, with dry ice poured over it at the table which was good entertainment for us all. The place is nicely decorated, the music selection complimented a laid-back Sunday and the serving staff were friendly and efficient. We found it good value through First Table but it is more of a special occasion venue for us.
