In a world designed to make you rush from one commitment to another, The Orangery’s unhurried, relaxed dining experience is an oasis from the hectic pull of the outside world.
Nestled within Cardiff’s five-star rated Cathedral 73 hotel, a short stroll from the river Taff, this boutique dining room and bar offers decadence, whilst remaining modern and informal.
The venue’s grazing menu has been concocted to encourage social eating, with an emphasis on taking one’s time to meander through the various dishes. Cuisines such as Pan-Asian, Scandinavian and North African tantalise the inner explorer, with an absolute must-try being the ratatouille briouat.
To truly immerse yourself in the spirit of The Orangery, order a favoured cocktail or two, or peruse the house list for something a little different. If cocktails aren’t your thing there are also a wide range of paired wines and local and international beers to choose from.
If you’re looking to kick back and relax with loved ones over delicious food, look no further than The Orangery.

So friendly, we had a nightmare with parking but the owner was really friendly and helpful. Despite being very late because of that the first table was honoured.
Great Sunday lunch, as a veggie I'd have liked another option. The food was very good

We chose quite a few tapas dishes from the menu. Every item was beautiful. We liked how they were all brought out separately. So we were able to graze and enjoy the atmosphere. Definetly return again

We had a lovely Sunday lunch. The staff were friendly, and we enjoyed listening to the piano player in the background.

booked here because our favourite dining experience is sharing food and we was not disappointed! From the look of the restaurant to the stunning selection of food, it was outstanding. Staff are really friendly and the service was really good. We went for the grazing menu and chose quite a few dishes, which were are equally good as each other. All came out at different times which made the experience even better. Great for small or large groups. Will be coming back soon, thank you

Food was really good and the way each dish is brought out when it is ready contributes to the relaxed atmosphere. The pork dish was incredible and we will come back just for that.
