Enjoy a fiesta of flavour at this vibrant and colourful Cuban restaurant!

Bringing the spirit of Havana to Bristol’s streets, The Cuban celebrates the country’s best dishes, delicious rums and lively culture. With influences of Spanish, African, Chinese and Portuguese culture at its heart, Cuban cooking is one of the most diverse cuisines in the world. At this lively restaurant and bar, every care is taken to recreate Cuba’s traditional recipes and cooking methods.

From tapas and salads, to paella and steaks, their dishes are packed with flavour and singing with spice. Enjoy small plates of chorizo, padron peppers and cashapa (sweet corn pancakes), before moving onto their mouthwatering mains, like pork belly roulade, Cuban seafood cassoulet or the juicy rib eye steak. There’s also a kids menu to keep the little ones happy, and a select sweet menu for the pudding-lovers.

But it’d be a sin to step into The Cuban without trying one of their legendary rums! With over 150 available, as well as a mind boggling list of tequila and cocktails (the Mojito being the clear winner), there’s something to kick off every evening with a bang. Enjoy a diverse cuisine within a vibrant and colourful setting at The Cuban, located in central Bristol.

It was our first time to The Cuban for myself, my partner and our one year old daughter. Firstly, the decorations make you feel like you are in Cuba. We were given a choice of table. We were delighted to find out that there was a dance class that we could watch and it gave a lovely atmosphere. Staff were engaging, polite, and friendly. They gave us their opinion on what dishes to try. The food was tasty and the portions were huge! We definitely will be going back!

Excellent food and nice place. It will be good if they provide more dessert options.

I wasn’t pleased with my main & they changed it without any question and without a word from us they didn’t charge for it. My only niggle was the place is huge and we struggled a few times to get the attention of staff but when we did they wrestle very good

Booked online through first table. Was really easy to do so. When we arrived we was treated by a French waiter. He was lovely and gave us plenty of time to look through the menus. I had a tequila sunrise and my wife had the dark and stormy cocktails, both on the happy hour menu 241 - right bargain! I was unsure on choosing between the pork trio and the rack of lamb. Our waiter talked me through how the trio was cooked but recommend the lamb as his favourite so I went with that. It didn't disappoint! It came with sauted potatoes with finely chopped olives, vine cherry tomatoes and a taxi on lamb. It was perfectly cooked. My wife had the chicken and chorizo skewers from the grill menu and the chicken was really moist which was nice as quite often people over cook chicken, chef clearly knows his stuff. Toilets was immaculate and music was great. We will definitely come back again and wouldn't think twice about paying full price. We chose not to have desert as we was to full. I can't wait to try the Cuban sandwich! Thanks for a great date night.
