This neighbourhood gem embodies all that is charming about rural Italy, despite its location near the Prince Edward Theatre on humming Old Compton Street. Think sunny staff serving well-balanced negronis with a smile, nostalgic soul food and candles throwing flickering shadows onto the simple wooden furniture.

Menus draw inspiration from the food the owner’s nonna used to make, focusing on timeless flavour combinations and traditional techniques executed with aplomb.

The charcuterie board is a masterclass in curing from some of Italy’s most respected producers. Aubergine layered with mozzarella and nutty pesto is the ultimate comfort food, while grilled calamari with chorizo and wilted leeks is a triumph.

Anyone who has experienced Soho on a Friday night knows that restaurants with outdoor seating are like gold dust. Stroll onto RustiKo’s intimate terrace on a warm summer’s evening, take your pick from the good value wine list and embrace La Dolce Vita in the heart of London.

Went to RustiKo with 3 friends. Food and service were excellent. I had the Longinu and lobster served in a very unique way that meant the lobster flavour infused the whole dish. My friends had chicken and mushroom risotto with a creamy rich sauce. It couldn’t be bettered.

Second time here at Rustiko and super impressed with the quality of food, we had 3 small plates - polenta chips (Ace!) - bruschetta (crunchy & fragrant) and the Caprese Salad (light & fresh). For mains we ordered the Lobster linguine which was delicious, and the Braised Chicken in white wine with potatoes was honestly one of the most delicious & well made dishes I’ve eaten in a while - Chicken was so succulent and flavours were so rich!

For dessert we ordered the warm Nutella doughnuts and they were demolished in seconds - we would’ve ordered another round if we didn’t have to leave!

Honestly super impressed with this place as I’d always thought it was a place for tourists but the quality of food has impressed me on two occasions now. Looking forward to trying out other dishes on their menu!

Having walked past this place every week for the past 10 years I’d always just assumed it was a small mediocre Italian touristy place on Old Compton Street. However I was hugely mistaken! We were all so impressed by the delicious food here! We had the polenta chips and prawns to start and then for mains we went for the baked chicken in white wine, which was so succulent and flavoursome, the grilled squid, which again was absolutely delicious, and the perfectly cooked duck. I’d definitely recommend coming here for the meats and fish for sure!

We had the Lobster linguine and the squid, both were so lovely, the pasta was cooked to perfection. The staff were really friendly and attentive. I’ll be honest I probably would have walked past this place in search of somewhere to eat so I am REALLY pleased they joined FirstTable. We’ll be back with more friends!

First time using First Table and won't be my last! Will also be back to RustiKo as the food, service and drinks were all excellent. I've walked by this little spot in Soho so many times but First Table got me in the door. Really enjoyed the starters and our mains were lovely.

Went for lunch on Monday. It's a small restaurant. Can't complain about the food as it was tasty and good portions. Service was fantastic and friendly.

Good for lunch; varied menu and value for money.

We had great lunch at this surprisingly quaint-looking Italian restaurant. It definitely looks like it's a successful bar during the evening as they had a great selection of drinks and a large bar.
We order seven small plates for a tapas style lunch and everything was delicious, though we're no experts on Italian food. The food tasted as if it was made with high quality ingredients - the tomatoes in the caprese salad were a deep red and actually tasted of tomatoes.
We did wish that there were perhaps one or two lighter options in the small plates, as everything seemed dominated with heavy flavours like cheese/ fried foods/ meat, but these were of course great.
Would be a great place to bring a group.

Small friendly and lovely atmosphere. Good air con on a hot day.

Second time at Rustiko and it didn't disappoint. I loved the Arancini and mozarella & tomato starters. Lobster linguine was amazing, yum yum yum! Unfortunately they didn't have tiramisu to finish it off. Service is prompt and attentive. We had cocktails, 2 for £10, these were lame. Would go for wine or prosecco next time. All in all, great spot!

We got a table on the 2nd floor, the atmosphere was nice but the service was quite slow - they only had one person serving the whole floor. The starters were good but the pizza was a bit disappointing. We ordered the Parma pizza - it was more like a pitta bread with toppings thrown on top, almost none tomato sauce and zero melted cheese. Not sure I'll be back.

Had a great evening! We went at 6pm before our theatre trip! Service impeccable and the food was great! Would certainly go again. Thank you!

Dinner at RustiKo was a nice experience. Service was speedy and friendly. We had arancini and goat cheese, which were yummy. Pizza was a tad bit not to my taste, the base was like pita, not crusty at all. Tiramisu was delicious.

Cute little restaurant in the heart of Soho. The Nutella Donuts where spectacular.

We had a lovely meal at Rustiko, the food was great (I had the bruschetta and then duck for main) and the service excellent, all the staff were really friendly. I would definitely go back to Rustiko.

One small niggle would be that they put a 12.5% service charge on the bill for the full food price instead of the reduced food price.

We ordered 2 tapas dishes each for starters and then the seabass fillet for our mains and all were delicious! Staff were attentive and prompt with their service. I would definitely come back even if it wasn't a first table dinning.

- dined at RustiKo Soho on

The meal and service were fine. My only niggle was that when I checked the bill afterwards, the (discretionary) service charge which was added and which I was happy to accept, was levied on the total amount before the 50% discount for food was applied, so I actually paid a service charge on the discount! I thought this was a bit cheeky.

Great spot close to the theatre district in SOHO! Atmosphere is wonderful, they had a nice wine selection and we enjoyed our meal.

Great food and drinks, and staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant was pretty quiet as we had an early booking, I can imagine it could get quite crammed when it was busy. We would definitely return.
