If you truly believe less is more, Sapling is your next calling point.
Staying faithful to its philosophy, the interior is minimalist, compact and comprises of neutral tones with the occasional splash of brilliant turquoise. In short, it is perfectly Zen; a welcome relief, perhaps, from the bustling streets of trendy Dalston.
The menu is small, but each dish is wonderfully crafted, using innovative combinations and seasonal ingredients. They might be small plates, but with the punchy flavours of fresh mackerel and pig cheek (amongst others), it’s a complete dining experience. And it you’re after an even lighter bite, the larder menu is at your disposal.
Unlike the food menu, the selection of wines on offer is extensive and changes on a weekly basis. Each wine is organic, natural, biodynamic and what’s more, there is no by-glass mark-up in order to encourage customers to go on their own journeys.
Like its namesake, Sapling is a place of new experiences and most importantly, new flavours.
