Very positive experience! Food was presented well and tasted even better. Nice ambient atmosphere, the staff was super friendly.. we couldn’t really fault it.
Thank you!

Went with a friend for dinner and we opted for the 5-course menu to share accompanied by some yummy cocktails. To qualify for this, you can't chose the items on the menu but it was no issue for us as all the dishes that came out were flavourful and well executed. Bread, olives and roasted almonds were served at the beginning with our starter which was creamy Burrata with peppers & rocket. Our mains included pan-fried seabass on a bed of courgette, borlotti beans & heirloom tomatoes followed by sirloin steak with two sides of pamesan courgette & beans. They were all tasty! We had the vanilla cheesecake for dessert, topped with strawberries galore and accompanied by a sauce reduction and herb oil - just the perfect flavour combination! The staff were friendly, engaging and knew the menu well - I will definitely be back very soon!

I took my partner to Treves & Hyde for his birthday. The service was impeccable; every dish was explained in an interesting and funny way and all the service staff checked on us regularly, but in an unobtrusive way.

The food was one of the best we had in London, especially the steak. We ordered the 5 course sharing menu and left very full! They even put a Birthday candle on the dessert for my boyfriend at the end, which was a very nice touch. Will definitely be back soon!

We thoroughly enjoyed our Friday night date night in Treves & Hyde. Situated in a bustling area of Aldgate, down the road from a specialist gin bar, this restaurant was the perfect post work dinner location. We were immediately blown away by the welcoming and attentive nature of the staff, whose flutters of humour also made the night!

The food was spot on, we had some 'snacks' and three courses to follow, with a cheeky cocktail and bottle of vino to wash it down :). We genuinely loved it all but if you like veggies i'd highly recommend the Burrata to start, followed by the steak. It was so refreshing to see fresh vegetables on dishes which too often come plain or simply with leaves. Kudos for Treves & Hyde for adding texture, flavour and 'health' to all their dishes.

I’m really pleased I got to try out Treves and Hyde. The location worked really well for a catch up with a business colleague who was staying nearby.

Our booking was early – 18:30, so when we arrived we had a choice of where we could sit. The welcome was bright, cheerful and genuine.

Whilst we were enjoying our G&T’s, we both ordered the heirloom tomato salad, which was absolutely delicious! Honestly, I didn’t think I would be able to polish off such a large plate of assorted tomatoes, but they were too good to put down. To follow up, I had the roasted hake, courgette and borlotti beans with more heirloom tomatoes. I’m afraid I didn’t share that with my colleague who had the chicken, which she said was very succulent. We both enjoyed every morsel of our main courses.

We were too full to each order a dessert, so we decided on sharing the chocolate delice with lime & salted caramel ice cream. Again, another winner with the ice cream combination being slightly unusual, but well paired. Not one course was dud.

By the main part of the evening, the restaurant started to fill up. I can imaging it’s quieter at the start of the week, and filled with locals towards the end.

My meal was superb. Will definitely return.

Our evening at Treves and Hyde was absolutely incredible. We had the 5 course sharing menu - and they were so accommodating and substituted one of the meat courses for fish. Every dish was a delicious and it was lovely that everything that came up was a surprise and was dependant on what the chef felt like making. Also our servers were amazing, really attentive and explained everything we were eating. Couldn’t recommend this place more!

The food was delicious. Every dish had layers of subtle and delicate flavour. I had the chicken which was succulent and well seasoned accompanied by a courgettes purée which was creamy and light. Highly recommended!

We arrived quite early so had a coffee in the coffee bar downstairs which was magnificent. Once it was time to dine we went upstairs and the staff were so friendly, whilst the restaurant filled up during dining the quality of service never faltered.

We had olives and 3 courses, each one of them magnificent. This was for our anniversary and I think I may have enjoyed the food more at Treves & Hyde compared to the Michelin Starred restaurant we went to last year!

We arrived at the restaurant to an extremely friendly greeting from the staff.
We chose the sharing menu which was a selection of 5 courses chosen by the Chefs that day.
The food was delicious and with every course the waiters gave a detailed explanation on the ingredients and composition of the dish which was a nice touch.
Fantastic experience and will definitely be returning!

The great thing about Treves & Hyde is that it always delivers. Never has the food disappointed us here! The staff is always really friendly & attentive even whilst being completely fully booked with numerous Christmas parties. I tried their festive warm cocktail with rum, spices & oat milk - absolutely delicious! Always great flavour combinations here so I’ll happily come back again in the New Year.

This place is such a pleasant surprise! The restaurant is set on the first floor so you get something of a view, and the room is nicely decked out. The staff were really friendly straight from the off, even making food preparation go a little faster when we let them know before ordering that we had to be out at a certain time. The house wines went down well and the food was bang on too. A couple of meat eaters and a couple of pescatarians at the table and we all felt we had a good feed. So thank you very much!

The whole experience was absolutely delightful and would be highly recommended to all. Upon arrival, the service was impeccable with a friendly hello given by all staff working there. The staff were very friendly and extremely personable, ensuring the dining experience was to our comfort. The food itself was even better than the service, with the fish cooked to perfection, and the accompanying plates were a sheer delight, I wish I had room for desert as the menu looked delightful. Overall an outta ding experience with excellent food and service, I can't wait to visit again.

HIGHLY recommend Treves & Hyde by Aldgate East - 5* for both food AND service. Visited with my girlfriend on a relatively quiet Friday evening. The service was impeccable - our waiter was clearly very knowledgeable about the food on the menu. Upon being asked for recommendations, he thoroughly explained the dishes (to the extent you felt like you could already taste it).

We ordered the scallop to share as starter which was simply exquisite, and had the chicken and beef for mains. Chicken was so tender (marinated in milk and spices for 48 hours; cooked in special oven) and the beef was very flavoursome. The desserts which were lemon tart and chocolate delice were made to the highest standards and concluded our evening perfectly. This place deserves so much more traffic and recognition - everyone must go!

Exceptional! On all accounts: food, cocktails & service. We ended up going for the 5 course tasting menu which we loved - beef tartare was the best we’ve ever eaten, crab pasta was amazing as was the chicken and even the salads were absolutely delicious. All the dishes were explained carefully when brought to the table, all the waiters were really nice & friendly. And the additional great thing was that they had happy hour on until 9pm so our drinks were also 50% off. Brilliant!

We had the 5-course sharing menu where each dish was a surprise. It had a good sample of popular dishes. All dishes were delicious and had their specialities and our favourite was the rich, tender pork belly, and the succulent, juicy chicken. The service was attentive and entertaining as each dish served was well explained.

We really enjoyed our meal here, the service was impeccable, we felt very welcomed from the moment we entered. We dined on a Saturday night, and were told about the 2for1 deal on cocktails, so out the window went my dry Jan and it was cocktails all around. The food was presented and tasted great and the cocktails were made from scratch. We also were given the window seat, so overall, a great meal out.

Very cosy place just near Aldgate East station. The service was great, our host (the tall guy with the man bun) was very friendly and had good knowledge about the food they were serving. The menu looked excited and playful.

This is definitely one of my top dining places in London. The food and service is always spot on. The combination of textures and flavours in some of the dishes - namely the Beef Tartar - is absolutely delicious & probably it’s probably the best beef tartar we’ve ever had! The chicken was super moist & tender & the mash could’ve been icecream it was so creamy!

Our greeting on arrival was friendly, personal and welcoming, and service throughout was excellent. To start we chose a salad of kohlrabi, fennel and brown shrimps, which was light, perfectly balanced and delicious, along with glazed pork belly with 3 way kohlrabi - tender and rich, complimented well by the pickled and puréed veg.
Main courses of sea bream and lamb were both very well constructed and cooking was very good on all elements.
A chocolate delice with ice cream to share was rich and firm - excellent end to a great meal.
Great dinner all round.
