Cuisine: Italian
Price Point: Mains from £10-£20

Serving the very best of Italian food and wine, Osteria has not stopped buzzing since it opened its doors in Merchant City last year.

Plush interiors demonstrate all the style you’d expect from an urban Italian restaurant. Tiled floors and chocolate-coloured leather, a back-lit sparkling wine cellar and artfully mismatched furniture combine to create a simple yet sophisticated restaurant that works as well for business meetings as it does for date night dinners.

The menu focuses on classic Italian dishes executed with aplomb as well as burgers, pizzas and sharing boards. Crowd pleasers include the macaroni cheese, made to a secret recipe, and seabass with a traditional lemon and tarragon sauce, served with your choice of sides.

When it comes to drinks, you’ll be spoilt for choice with a selection of fine wines from the length and breadth of Italy. If you can’t choose, you won’t go wrong with one of the Dress Code proseccos. There are also bottled and draft beers.

Sit back and savour a thoroughly modern Italian experience at Osteria.

We had a fantastic time at the Osteria , the staff are friendly and the food was delicious , during the meal they realised it was my wife's birthday and they went out their way to come over with a "an ice cream cake " with a candle in it , a lovely little touch
I would highly recommend this lovely restaurant

It was my anniversary with my girlfriend and we decided to celebrate by trying First Table and Osteria for the first time. It couldn’t have been a better experience. The starters and desserts we ordered were delicious (mozzarella sticks, and garlic and cheese foccaccia; tiramisu and cheesecake). The mains were also very tasty (she ordered the Parmeggiana aubergine and I ordered the Mezze dell’Osteria). The only reason I wouldn’t give the food 5 stars is because I was expecting my main to be a bit more flavorful, but other than that it was perfect. Service was flawless.

Food fresh and tasty. No complaints here. Nice atmosphere and decor inside especially the small conservatory at the back. Portions plentiful
