A stylish subterranean gem specialising in craft gin and perfectly cooked steaks.
Look out for some secret stairs and descend to this vaulted space, hidden beneath Glasgow Central Station. Interiors are the exact opposite of what you’d expect from a cellar, with high ceilings, cut glass chandeliers and marble touches highlighted by cool blue uplighting.
The menu is a carnivore’s dream, with a huge selection of 35-day dry-aged steaks sourced by John Gilmour, a third-generation family butcher from the Scottish Borders, served with decadent beef dripping chips. Seafood and veggie options are also available.
They take their gin as seriously as their meat, with more than 50 varieties on offer, including 15 from Scotland. Try them with tonic, in spritzes, or cocktails and clear your head with a large espresso from Gordon Street Coffee at the top of the staircase, which is owned by the same group.
If you’re a fan of juicy beef and juniper juice, this is definitely one to add to your list!
