Tucked away on Victoria Street, one of the prettiest in Edinburgh’s Old Town, the restaurant’s decor is as eclectic as its menu. Neon signs contrast with 15th-century archways, plush wingback chairs jostle for space with contemporary light fittings and a traditional chalkboard is hand-scrawled with daily specials.

The freshest locally sourced ingredients create twists on French classics, tasty, rustic tagines and fragrant curries, as well as steaks aged for 28 days.

Can't-miss dishes include haggis balls with whisky sauce and chicken tagine, spiked with preserved lemons and salty green olives. Feeling friendly? Opt for one of their sumptuous sharing plates. We love slow-cooked beef cheeks in rich red wine sauce.
