It doesn’t get much more authentic than this down to earth Greek cafe, which offers a mean line in coffee, speciality pies and homemade Mediterranean food.

The vibe is warm and friendly, with simple wooden furnishings and tiled floors, and they also sell specialities such as honey and olive oil for you to take home. It’s the perfect place to stop by after work for a cold Mythos beer and plate of something comforting.

When it comes to the food, picture the sort of stuff your Grandma used to make (if your Grandma happened to be Greek and a dab hand in the kitchen of course!).

Mouthwatering mezze such as tiny cheese pies and crispy courgette fritters are the perfect way to kick start your meal, before moving on to Greek favourites including chicken souvlaki, pork gyros and a refreshing Greek salad.

A must-try is the moussaka, mince sandwiched between eggplant in velvety bechamel sauce, while kids will love getting stuck into homemade meatballs. To round off your meal in a traditional way, try the Greek spoon sweet. These tasty mouthfuls are often served to guests back in the motherland and every island will have its own speciality.

This cosy spot is the sort of place you'll fall in love with. A real gem that’s just waiting to be discovered.

Great, friendly service and lovely food. Big thumbs up from six year old and even a thumbs up from (vegetarian) 11 year old.
Good value with first table - would recommend this.
