We had a great time at The Florist - service was attentive, and when I couldn't make up my mind on what to order, the waiter very helpfully recommended a couple of his favorites. We had to send something back because it was burnt, but got an another portion one served to us very quickly.

My son and I spent a lovely evening here and hope to return very soon. We were delighted by the unique decor and the warm welcome we received on arrival. The menu had some interesting takes on the classics so thank you to our waitress for explaining everything so patiently to us. Everything we chose was delicious! Unfortunately my son was taken ill but the staff dealt with this with kindness and professionalism and a maturity far beyond their years. A huge thank you in particular to Sam! Although I enjoy trying out new restaurants using First Table, I would have no hesitation in returning here and paying full price.

Nice venue and excellent service. Steak was slightly over cooked, but still tasty. Seabass was really nice and nice change from basic dishes. The thai pad salad was tasty!

This was our second visit to The Florist and definitely won't be our last. The venue itself is very welcoming and the staff are very friendly and happy to help with any aspect.

We ordered the warm bread with Goats Cheese Butter, Honey and Olives. An absolute must although you will struggle to eat a Starter as well unless there are more than two of you.

This was followed by Chicken Kebabs for my husband and Cod in Batter for me. This was without doubt the best Cod in Batter dish I think I have had. The batter was crisp and very tasty and the fish was cooked to perfection. I ordered the side dish of lettuce, pear and ricotta cheese which was a perfect accompaniment. My husband was also delighted with his Chicken and had the side dish of Broccoli to accompany his Fries.

I managed a dessert and again I was not disappointed. A very light Banana Spring Roll with Vanilla Ice Cream completed an excellent meal.

The décor is wonderfully lavish yet quaint and understated in places. Fantastic views of Bristol from the airy top floor dinning area. The food was enjoyable and the service was splendid, however it is the unusually delightful and imaginative cocktails which will force me to return sooner rather than later.

We had a lovely evening at the florist. The venue is gorgeous with flowers everywhere, and we were sat right at the top which has large fold back windows and great views. It’s also surprisingly quiet as it’s behind park street.

The service was quite slow, our wine arrived half way through our meal, however the staff were very friendly and the cocktails were something else!

We had a rhubarb gin, and a lavender cocktail, both arrived in lovely shaped glasses with an edible flower and mint garnish. Very refreshing and balanced flavours.

Food wise We started with olives and hummus, which came with a rich red pepper sauce which was gorgeous and went really well with the different coloured carrot sticks, and Swedish flatbread.

We then had sea bass and satay with Thai salad, and a chicken kebab. The sauce for the sea bass was full of flavour and the salad an interesting mix of raw veg. The kebab came hung on a skewer with Harrisa potato fries. The chicken was very moist but otherwise fairly Standard, and I couldn’t really taste the chilli marinade. However the side salad of walnut and pear was lovely and fresh with a good dressing. Puddings were nice, although again our drinks were a bit out of sync with the food.

All in all It is a gorgeous venue and I would definitely go back!

The food was absolutely fantastic - we ordered lots of nibbles and sides to share between two and we weren’t disappointed! Service was a little slow at times - we both wanted another cocktail but nobody checked in with us, and it did take a while to get the bill once we were finished. However the staff were really chatty and friendly, and attentive when they did come over. Definitely would go back!

Wasn’t sure if this place would be suitable for family dinning with 2 young kids [4&7] but service was great we were made to feel very welcome good food options for them and the presentation of their food was great really caught the kids attention and then even brought their food first to help make sure our dinner experience was enjoyable, fantastic food, great service and fabulous drinks after last nights experience it’s a place we will definitely be going again.

Absolutely loved my first time at the florist! The minute we walked in we were looked after and shown to our table which was just beneath all the flowers! Our waitress was super friendly and recommended THE BEST cocktails. Genuinely the nicest cocktails I've ever had! My favourite starter was the lavender loaf with goats cheese and honey, so good! I cannot wait to go back again, best place to go with the girls!

When we arrived there was no reservation for us, however it wasn’t a problem with the restaurant and they honoured our reservation. The service was excellent as was the food, would definitely recommend.

A great first experience of The Florist. Hot Lavender Bread with Goats Cheese and Honey is an absolute must. Followed by Harissa Checken and Sweet Potato Fries. The Chicken cooked to perfection was drizzled with a mint and yoghurt dressing and an extra side of Coleslaw. I have already recommended the Florist and First Table to all my Foodie Friends... xxx
